This unique sweater is shaped from two long parallelograms which are sewn togehter in an interesting way to achieve the spiraling effect. It isn't as difficult as it seems, but it is dramatic. The simple Fair Isle design is optional and can be omitted.

Knitting machine and accessories: Translates to any bulky or midgauge knitting machine by matching gauge

Advanced skills needed: Simple Fair Isle (optional). Short-row shaping (explained in pattern). Cut and sew neck (explained in pattern).

Sizes: Finished chest sizes 32", 36", 40", 44", 48"

Gauge: 16.5 stitches and 22 rows / 4 inches

Yarn: Worsted weight acrylic or acrylic wool blend. Sample knit with Caron Wintuk
